Gallbladder Flush
Introduction
A year ago my partner was in the emergency room suffering from severe abdominal pain. After several misdiagnosis a ultrasound provided the answer, GALLSTONES!
Several gallstones ranging up to 17mm in size were discovered inside the gallbladder. Surgery was recommended as soon as possible.
Not knowing a lot about gallstones or indeed the gallbladder I started researching. I was astonished with what I found, not only did surgery remove the gallstones, they removed the entire gallbladder! Why? I was told “Because it’s easier, and people that have had gallstones are likely to get them again”. I assumed it would at least solve the problem of future gallstones, wrong! Even after surgery gallstones can be created within the liver and bile duct providing further complications.
Their has to be a more efficient way to get rid of gallstones that does not require surgery and removing an internal organ.
Fortunately I found buried within a thinly paged medical journal from the late 1800’s the answer. It seemed to good to be true. Before getting too excited I did my research and found even more information providing alternatives to surgery. I discovered many similarities in the varying techniques I was reading about. Rather than dismiss one in turn for another, I combined the strongest parts and came up with a very simple effective and safe process to remove gallstones.
It is very important for your immediate and continued health that you look after your liver. Especially if you have gallstones, and critical if you are going to undertake this gallbladder flush. if your liver is unable to produce healthy bile to aid in the removal of the stones your gallbladder health will remain a problem. Below I have recommended a product that helps restore your liver back to it’s healthy state.
What Is Your Gallbladder?
Understanding what is going on inside your body will help you in your process if ridding gallstones and preventing them from occurring again.
Your gallbladder is located under your liver and is sack like in appearance. It’s purpose is to store and regulate the flow of bile. Bile is produced by your liver and is used by your body to aid digestion. As your liver produces bile it is stored in the gallbladder for use when you next eat, bile is released to break down lipids (fats) so a heavier meal will require more bile to be released.
If you have gallstones they may obstruct the release of bile, possibly causing sever pain as your gallbladder contracts and tries to expel bile.
In situations where the gallbladder has been removed, gall is unable to be stored, resulting in a constant flow of bile as it is produced by the liver directly into the digestive tract. This can cause many health problems, such as constant abdominal pain and chronic diarrhoea. Luckily it can be avoided.
Gallstones
Gallstones come in two varieties, the often smaller pigment stone, and the cholesterol stone.
Cholesterol stones are usually green, but can be white or yellow in colour. They consist primarily of cholesterol and account for around 80 percent of gallstones.
Pigment stones are small and dark in appearance. They consist of bilirubin and calcium salts that are found in bile. They account for around 20 percent of gallstones. Pigment stones can cause infections and blood disorders as well as cirrhosis and anaemia.
Gallstones can be caused by:
Hereditary factors.
Excess body weight.
Diet, containing too much cholesterol.
Hormone therapy using estrogen.
Hormonal contraception using estrogen such as ‘the pill’.
Ingredients
Olive oil
For the actual flush as it lubricates the digestive system while also encouraging the flow of bile.
Lemons
Lemon juice is used to cut through the olive oil making it more palatable.
Coke
Instead of lemon juice you can use coke, the acids found in regular coke also help to dissolve and soften the stones.
Apple Juice
The malic acid found in apples helps soften the stones, while pectin also found in apples facilitates the flow of bile from the body.
Apples
Same as above.
Epsom Salts
Epsom salt or Magnesium Sulphate helps relax the bile ducts helping the stones to pass through to the bowels.
If you have access to a Chinese herbalist or supplier a fantastic herb called “Gold Coin Grass” should be purchased, it can be used instead of the apples, and is a much more effective stone softener. It is very cheap, and can be made into a tea to be consumed twice a day for a week prior to the flush.
Method
A gall bladder flush can allow the body to naturally release gallstones clearing the system of impurities.
Sometimes the flush has been done over a course of only one or two days. It is much more effective and safer if conducted over the course of a week. During this week the body is prepared for the flush, well hydrated, and the stones softened. This is particularly important for larger stones as it prevents them from getting stuck in the bile ducts.
Day 1:
Eat five apples, and drink 4 glasses of apple juice.
Do not drink alcohol.
Cut back on diary products and heavy meals such as red meats and pork.
If you have any abdominal pain caused by your gallstones within this period, lying on your right hand side with a hot water bottle will help relieve pain.
Day 2:
Maintain you regime from day 1.
Day 3:
Maintain your regime from day 1 and day 2
Day 4:
Continue to eat your apples and drink the juice.
Eat a very light dinner.
Stay well hydrated.
Day 5:
The day of the flush. Do not eat for the entire day.
In the evening take a teaspoon of Epsom salts dissolved in warm water.
Then, drink a glass (125ml) of olive oil mixed with the desired quantity of lemon juice or Coke. About 125ml of Lemon Juice or coke to 125ml of olive oil.
Lie on your right side after drinking the olive oil mix.
After 15-20 minutes, drink the same amount again, and lie down again.
Repeat until you have consumed 1 pint of olive oil, with 1 pint of lemon juice.
Do not get up or move around unless you have to go to the toilet.
Day 6:
During the course of the previous night and early morning the stones will pass from the biliary system into the bowel ready to be passed when you go to the toilet.
Passing the stones from your body is painless and nothing to worry about.
By midday you should have successfully completed the natural removal of your gallstones.
Caring
Caring for the liver to improve it’s health is important for overall well-being. This includes maintaining a healthy weight and healthy diet.
Maintenance flushes can be a good idea to keep the gallbladder in good health. Depending on the severity of your gallstones, repeating the flush every six months to a year should be sufficient, especially until your liver is in good health.
